Domestic Violence Increased with Poverty

Author: Admin  |  Category: Domestic Violence

According to the National Domestic Violence Hotline there is a link between the Domestic Violence calls and the growing number of Families that are in financial burden.

In further research I have found that while some studies do provide evidence that there appears to be a higher incidence of violence in families at or below the poverty line. This is not true. Poor people who lack other support or resources are much more likely to turn to police or social agencies more often than families who have money.
